Liiveri does local development work also through its own projects. Read below what kind of projects are currently underway.
Leader groups from Southern Pohja have applied for the Smart Villages cooperation project called Tulevaisuunen kylä 2.0.
The Participating Youth 2.0 project continues to develop the good operating models tried in the previous project, such as the low-threshold internationalization of young people. In addition, the project develops new youth activities for associations and other actors in the area. The project involves close cooperation with other organizations working with young people. Liiver's youth division acts as a resource for the project. Project implementation period: 30.04.2023-30.12.2024. The project's budget is €66,119.24.
The goal of the GenGreen project is to support a total of 50 female entrepreneurs in Southern and Central Ostrobothnia, Lapland, Norbotten, Tromsø and Finnmark. The project is implemented with the support of the Interreg Aurora program, which offers funding opportunities for cross-border cooperation in northern Europe in the area of Sweden, Finland and Norway.
The focus of the project is on creating networks, sharing information and developing synergies between participating companies. Liiveri is one of the nine implementation partners of the project.
Operational money financed from the rural program is used for Leader activities. Currently, the so-called operating money for the transition period 2021–2022, with which financed projects and business subsidies are ongoing until the end of 2024. Projects funded from 2023 onwards are activated, supported and reported with CAP period operating money. For the years 2023–2027, €1,061,200 of operating money is available according to MMM's directive decision. The realization of the financed projects affects how much operating money is ultimately made available. Funding for operating money comes from the EU, the state and the municipalities of the region.
For a long time, the four Leader groups in South Ostrobothnia have had joint village projects, which each group implements in its own operating area. The implementation period of the Kylille III project is 1.1.2020-31.12.2023 and the joint budget is €970,000. The EU Rural Development Fund's share of the funding is €407,400 and the Finnish state's share is €562,600. The project has no municipal funding. The project is financed from the financial framework of the ELY Center of Southern Ostrobothnia. The project manager is Aisapari ry.
With the help of the Participating young people project, the network of youth workers in the region and its skills were developed, e.g. regarding internationality. The young people were able to make pilots in the project and learn, for example, about internationality. The project was implemented together with the municipalities and associations of the region. Liiver's own youth division participated in the project's activities. The implementation period of the project was March 1, 2021-December 31, 2022. The project's budget was €124,457, of which the EU Rural Development Fund's share was €52,272, the state's share was €41,006, and the municipalities of the Liiver area €31,179. The project was implemented in the Liiver area.

The goal of the Velokyutuu vaastia project was to make fiber optic available to as many companies and residents of southern Pöhli as possible. The project informed and activated villages and communities about the advantages and benefits brought by optical fiber and gathered possible investment targets and started their search for funding.
