Youth Leader money for groups

Youth money intended for the groups of young people in Ilmajoki, Seinäjoki and Jalasjärvi opens up opportunities, renews things to do, inspires experiences, awakens common ideas and gives energy to young people.

A group of young people

  • There is a group with at least three people aged 13–25.
  • The group must have a designated adult contact person who is one of the young people in the group or an adult responsible adult.
  • The applicant can be an informal group or an association.
  • Youth money is awarded to a project in which young people are the implementers.

For what purpose can a group of young people apply for support?

  • The theme is free. The project can be, for example, the organization of an event, the purchase of shared hobby equipment, or anything else that a youth group can do together and is reasonable and legal. The activity must be drug-free.
  • The most important thing is that the project is planned, implemented and reported by young people!

Theme searches for 2025

The Liiveri youth division has come up with four theme calls for 2025 to activate young people to implement their own projects with the help of Youth Leader support. 

The theme search is subject to the same terms and conditions as other Youth Leader projects. When you submit your application by the end of the month mentioned, you will receive a decision during the following month. You can also apply for projects with other themes as before.

What is the Glow Up School theme search?

Glow Up School is a Youth Leader funding call for young people that gives you and your friends the opportunity to implement ideas that will make your school more enjoyable. Whether you're organizing new after-school activities or inviting an inspiring speaker to your school, we're here to support you!

Four ideas for which you can apply for funding

  • Breaktime activities and equipment:
    • Create new ways to spend recess – for example, get a game console for the games room, frisbee golf equipment for outdoor use, or organize a recess disco.
  • General enjoyment at school:
    • Do you want to brighten up the overall look of your school? Apply for funding for plants, art, or cozy lounge areas, for example.
  • Presenters and speakers:
    • Invite an inspiring speaker or performer to your school. Would one of your idols be willing to share their story?
  • Events and theme days:
    • Organize an event, sports day, or community workshop day.

Do you have an idea for an event that will bring joy, color and music to the summer? With the Culture Summer -Youth Leader call, new types of summer events planned and implemented by young people will get the wind in their sails! Now is the time to celebrate culture, music and community - plan and implement your own event for young people.

What Culture Summer?

Kulttuuri Kesä is a Youth Leader funding call for young people, which allows you to organize a summer event that will be talked about for a long time! Whether you are planning a party, festival or music evening, this is your opportunity.

Where can I apply for funding?

  • Cultural festivals:
    • Music, art or theater? Organize a festival where culture and community are at the center.
  • Costs for performers:
    • Apply for funding for a professional performer. A music band, DJ, stand-up comedian or poet – the choice is yours!
  • Theme days and workshops:
    • Plan cultural workshops, such as music workshops, dance classes, or art exhibitions.
  • Summer closing party:
    • Organize a summer end-of-summer party – maybe an outdoor movie or dancing at dusk.

The Eco August funding call offers young people the opportunity to implement climate and environmental projects that leave a positive mark on the environment! Now is the time to make everyday life more ecological and inspire other young people to join in.

What is Eco August?

Eko Elokuu is a Youth Leader funding call that supports climate initiatives, challenges and community projects conceived by young people. The implementations can be small or large, but they have one common goal: to make our region a greener place!

Where can I apply for funding?

  • Climate action
    • For example, organize school or local community clean-up activities, a tree planting day, or a cycling event that encourages low-emission mobility.
  • Community Challenges:
    • Create challenges that inspire participants to reduce their carbon footprint – such as “plastic-free days” or “vegetarian food challenge”.
  • Second-hand workshops
    • Encourage sustainable consumption by organizing recycling events, clothing alteration workshops, or second-hand pop-up flea markets.
  • Art and consciousness
    • Use art to spark discussion about climate change and environmental protection. Apply for funding to create an environmental mural, photo exhibition, or training day, for example.

Do you feel like your village could be more youth-friendly? The Youth Villages funding application gives you and your friends the opportunity to make your village a more lively, welcoming and youth-friendly place! Now is the time to make the voice of youth heard in village communities.

What are Youth Villages?

The Youth Villages -Youth Leader funding call supports projects that increase youth participation and improve the amenity of villages. You can create new spaces, organize events or develop activities that bring young people together and make the village a truly young place.

Where can I apply for funding?

  • Village houses for young people
    • Apply for funding to renovate the village hall to make it attractive to young people – buy games, cozy decor, or organize an opening ceremony that will attract young people.
  • Youth events
    • Organize an event aimed at the youth of the village, such as movie nights, music events, or game tournaments, where everyone can have fun.
  • Community environmental project
    • Plan and implement improvements to the village's outdoor areas, frisbee golf courses, or places for young people to hang out together.
  • Strengthening the village community
    • Create activities that bring young people and other village residents together – for example, an intergenerational game night or a cooking class that everyone can participate in.

  • It is advantageous if the activity can become permanent, and it is also suitable for other groups of young people.
  • 100–800 euros
  • Liiver's support is a maximum of 90 % of the project's costs
  • For example, if you are purchasing a football goal that costs 300 euros, Liiveri will pay 270 euros to your account in advance. The remaining 30 euros is needed from your own money.

Applications can be submitted at any time. Decisions on applications received by the end of January, April, August and October will be made during the following month. 

Liiver's youth division evaluates the projects four times a year and makes a decision on which applications will receive money. Decisions on applications received by the end of January, April, August and October will be made during the following month. If your project gets a positive funding decision, the money will be paid into your account after about two weeks.

When the project is implemented, we will tell you about it electronic reporting through.
