Metsola school and Jokipii daycare center operate in the village. The village has its own village park, which allows for versatile movement. Jokipii is located along Valtatie 3, about six kilometers from the center of Jalasj\u00e4rvi. The distance to Sein\u00e4joki and Kauhajoki is about 30 km and to Kurikka about 15 km.<\/p><p><br><\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<h2>Services and business operations<\/h2>\n<p>Jokipii daycare center and Metsola school serve families with children in the village. In addition, there are several companies operating in the village that have found the perfect location for their operations in Jokipii, such as Ejendals Suomi Oy, Jokipiin Pellava, Parturi-kpaamo Sarina, Jokipiin auto and equipment repair, Viljama Oy, Latvala Puutarha, A-Saundi, KAV-rakennus Oy and numerous other companies .<\/p><p><br><\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<h2>Shared spaces and hobby opportunities<\/h2>\n<p>The center of the village is Alanen, a youth club owned by Jokipii Nuorisosera, which can be rented for events. In Kyl\u00e4puisto there is a soccer field, a cable car and the opportunity to eat snacks and fry sausages. In Talvis, the village park has an ice rink, ski slopes and a sledding hill for the youngest in the family. Recreational opportunities are complemented by easy cycling routes. A short distance away is the well-equipped Ponsikyl\u00e4 hut, which can be used freely. In winter, you can ski to the cottage along a groomed trail and continue from there all the way to the other end of Jalasj\u00e4rvi.<\/p><p><br><\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<h2>Activities and events<\/h2>\n<p>There are several associations in the area that organize diverse events. The highlight of the year has become the Jokipi Country Market, which is always held on the last Saturday of August. Other traditional events include Jokipi&#039;s SaunaOpen Open Villages Day and Jokipi&#039;s Living Christmas Calendar. Every year, the village association also remembers everyone who moved to and was born in the village.<br>Several hobby groups meet at the clubhouse, such as: drama club, 4H club, chat cobblers and family club. In cooperation, the associations also organize skiing trips, shopping and theater trips, summer bike trips and other events for the whole family. It is known that the first splitting of land in Jalasj\u00e4rvi was carried out in 1587, when Ala- and Yli-Jokipii were formed, the place was a river island, pii, from which the name came.
