Koskue is a heavily agricultural village located in the southern part of Jalasj\u00e4rvi in South Ostrobothnia. There are 617 inhabitants in the village. According to tradition, Koskue got its name from the Koskutj\u00e4rvi located in the middle of the village. The lake, on the other hand, got its name from the big koscus fir trees that grew on its shore. The word &quot;koskus&quot; means a bark plate or bark of a fir tree. Koskue is bordered in the south by the municipality of Kihni\u00f6, the city of Parkano and the municipality of Karvia, in the west by the village of Ilvesjoki, in the north by the village of Keskikyl\u00e4 and in the east by the village of Ylivalli. It is 42 km from Koskue to Parkano, 120 km to Tampere, 18 km to Jalasj\u00e4rvi church village, 53 km to Sein\u00e4joki.<\/p>\n<p><br><\/p>\n<h2>Services<\/h2>\n<p>There is a village shop in the village, which also has a post office.
