A large number of new houses have been built in recent years. Volunteer assistance is provided to those building in the village. The village has two old mills, of which Kalakosken Mylly is still in working order. The pearl of the village, however, is the clean-water Kihni\u00e4njoki River, whose banks have been cleaned up in recent years. There is also a nature trail running along the edge of the village, which is part of the Per\u00e4sein\u00e4joki area&#039;s nature trail network.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><h2>Services<\/h2><p>With the centralization of Sein\u00e4joki city&#039;s services, our village&#039;s services have also been transferred in many cases to either Per\u00e4sein\u00e4joki church village or Sein\u00e4joki. The village school was closed in the spring of 2016. The village shop still operates, as do two farm tourism companies, earthworks and construction entrepreneurs, and a forest machinery entrepreneur. The social service of the city of Sein\u00e4joki is responsible for care, food and transport services for the elderly. The townhouses of the old people&#039;s home association have been transferred to Toivon Kyl\u00e4 ry, which still rents apartments.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><h2>Shared spaces and hobby opportunities<\/h2><p>The village&#039;s gathering, party and exercise space is Kihni\u00e4nkyl\u00e4 youth club house Sampola, which can be rented separately for 200-person holding equipment owned by farm and household women. The varying terrains of the village allow for movement and relaxation in nature. A 5-kilometer lighted fitness track starts from the former Kihni\u00e4 school, now the auction house, which is used by joggers in the summer and skiers in the winter. There is a spacious hut along the fitness track for resting, calming down and small gatherings. The hut is open to all hikers and reservations are not required. Civic college organizes a gym and a weaving circle. The activities of the youth club are active. In the association&#039;s office, sports circles for young people and adults are organized every week. The countrymen&#039;s club has two dryers and a machine rental business.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><h2>Associations operating in the area<\/h2><p>Kihni\u00e4nkyl\u00e4 Village Association, Kihni\u00e4nkyl\u00e4 Youth Association, Maamiesseura and Agricultural and Household Women.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><h2>Village events<\/h2><p>In Sampola, spring and autumn dinners, Easter feasts, joint sports events, various other activities and a village porridge party are organized in Sampola.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><h2>Construction sites<\/h2><p>There are vacant building sites in the village and they are also being searched together for those in need. Empty houses have been sold, some of them are used for vacations.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><h2>The village&#039;s strengths and opportunities<\/h2><p>The village&#039;s strengths are the community spirit, helpfulness and active association activities. The beautiful nature, which is enlivened by the Kihni\u00e4njoki flowing through the village and the handsome terrain and history of Hiironkallio, gives the village its distinctiveness and the basis for further efforts to develop the village. The village looks for and develops new activities and keeps up with the times.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><h2>Special features<\/h2><p>The settlement of the village has become a strip along the river bank. Handsome low-lying houses and well-kept yards welcome guests. The hundred-year-old Youth Association, in cooperation with the residents of the village and other associations of the village, has actively renovated and maintained its office building and its surroundings, which is located on the banks of the Kihni\u00e4njoki and is the eye-catcher of the entire village. In the near future, a sauna and a renovated beach will start to be used by villagers and visitors on the beach of Sampola.<\/p><p>The beautiful terrain changes of Hiironkallio take the hiker there to the atmosphere of Lapland. The village has many music and handicraft enthusiasts. A 350-page village history has also been compiled about the village. Every one of them is a bit of a slob.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><h2>Good aspects in terms of business operations<\/h2><p>A busy highway passes through the village. It is approx. 10 km to Per\u00e4sein\u00e4joki church village and approx. 35 km to the city center. There are plots of land for business needs in the village.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><h2>The most important areas of development<\/h2><p>The Kihni\u00e4nkyl\u00e4 village development project has been completed. River banks have been washed away. Every effort is made to protect the nature of the village. Basic services are produced in cooperation with the city&#039;s industries. Kihni\u00e4nkyl\u00e4 is the oldest village in the former Per\u00e4sein\u00e4joki municipality, therefore the awareness of its history and special quality is maintained and every effort is made to increase the comfort of the living environment.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><h2>Avoidable threats<\/h2><p>Village residents&#039; faith in the development of their own village is important. More attention must be paid to the enjoyment of young people and young families in the village in all sectors. Efforts are being made to combat both external and internal threats to the village.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>Updated
