The aim of the Village of the Year selection is to highlight the diverse activities of villages and increase the awareness and visibility of village activities. The aim is to find active villages, successful village activities and to get good examples of village activities and cooperation. <\/p>\n<p>The selection of the national Village of the Year is carried out in two stages. Each provincial association of villages, in our own region the Southern Pohjois Villages Association, nominates its own province based on applications for the Village of the Year.
