SAYouth project

The SAYouth project promotes young people's participation in decision-making and opportunities to influence. The goals of the project are:

  • increasing the dialogue between young people and the authorities from the local level to the European level
  • develop dialogue and its channels and methods of operation
  • to increase knowledge of democratic systems at local and European level
  • promote active participation in civil society and voluntary work

The project's goals are reached with the help of international meetings and study tours. Young people and/or people working with young people are included in these trips.

The project has received funding from the Citizens' Europe program. It is managed by the municipality of Ale in Sweden. The project involves actors from seven different countries. The implementation date of the project has been moved forward by a year due to the travel restrictions caused by the coronavirus. The project's new implementation period is 2021–2023.
