Over the years, Leader projects, Liiver's Travel project, projects applied for from the Citizens' Europe Fund
or, for example, Liiver's cooperation with Skaraborg have increased the internationalization of the region. So there are many routes to internationalization.
The map shows countries to which residents of the Liiver area, companies and associations have gone on study tours or built cooperation networks with the help of projects.
Liiver's most important international partner, the Swedish Leader Östra Skaraborg, is marked on the map with a heart symbol. The cooperation started already in 2015.
Into Seinäjoki is involved in a European cooperation project, which plans a road map for the ecological future of rural airports and the activation of rural airports.
Jarkko Loima combined experience in the theater industry with programming expertise and created a software product called Misto ART, which facilitates the management of theater operations.
The project devises new operational possibilities together with organizations operating in the area and experts from the British organization Small Woods.
The collaboration between Liiver and Leader Östra Skaraborg gave rise to a joint project in which entrepreneurs were offered low-threshold internationalization opportunities. With the help of the study tours, there was an opportunity to get to know the activities of one's own field in the neighborhood and to seek new ideas.
Liiver's Travel theme project activated local operators to renew their operations by looking for new ideas,
operating methods and a new perspective, which would have positive effects on a wider scale, e.g. services and vitality of the area.
On the trip, it was found out how in Sweden, in a town of the same size, it had been possible to make the Absolut Vodka product brand a tourist asset and attraction of the town.
The goal was to find out how the hobby of skating could be developed in such a way that it would not be too competition-oriented, and how enthusiasts of all ages could enjoy the hobby.
The goal of the trips was to find operating models that could continue the educational activities started with the projects. The prestigious Musik Makarna school in Örnsköldvik was chosen as the destination for the trip to Sweden.
Liiveri is also involved in international networks and offers with their help
internationalization opportunities for residents and operators in the area.
With the SaYouth project, funded by the Citizens' Europe program, which developed opportunities for young people to influence and participate in civil society in Europe.
Liiveri sent ten young people or those working with young people on study trips to different parts of Europe: Italy, Poland, Germany, Greece and Bulgaria. In addition, Liiveri organized a local meeting for international participants.
At the Young Rural Camp, workshops were organized regarding e.g. democracy, leadership, inclusion and creativity.
A group from Finland's Liiver and Kärki-Leader youth division went to the camp together with youth activators.
The GENGREEN project supports female entrepreneurs to go green in South and Central Ostrobothnia, Lapland, Norbotten, Tromsø and Finnmark.
The project is part of the Interreg Aurora program, which enables cross-border cooperation in northern Europe in the area of Sweden, Finland and Norway.
