Between 2007 and 2013, Liiveri supported 14 companies in hiring their first employee. Five years after receiving the support, each of the companies answered our survey, which revealed the following: for 90 % companies, the support gave a boost to growth, and for 95 % companies, it lowered the threshold to hire the company's first employee.
When calculating only the tax revenues paid by the employees, the subsidy amount used to hire the first employee today pays for itself in just six months. After five years, the companies employed an average of 6 people in addition to the entrepreneurs themselves, i.e. 21 supported jobs had grown to 69 jobs.

The South Ostrobothnia Chamber of Commerce implemented regional government work activation projects. A well-functioning board brings added value to companies. All South Ostrobothnia Leader groups acted as financiers. The model has also been adopted in other provinces. The project spawned company group projects and individual company development projects.

Business division the task is to support the commercial implementation of Liiver's strategy. The business division informs, activates, aligns and evaluates business projects and business subsidies. The chamber can make statements and take initiatives, but it has no decision-making power. The business division, for example, acts in an expert role when assessing the impact of business subsidies on the competitive situation.
Pystykoski-Sopanen has been involved in Liiver's operations and regional development for a long time. He feels that supporting entrepreneurship can have far-reaching effects. For example, supporting part-time entrepreneurship can lead to full-time entrepreneurship later in life.
