What are Komiat villages?
The "Komiat kylät" theme call inspires young people to make their own village a more pleasant, livelier and better place for young people. You can implement a project that suits your needs – for example, building a common place to hang out, organizing a village event, implementing an activity that improves the amenity of the environment, or creating a new hobby opportunity for young people.
The most important thing is that the idea comes from the young people themselves and the project is planned and implemented together.
Where can I apply for support?
You can apply for Liiver's Youth Leader support for project-related expenses. Support can be provided for, for example, supplies, equipment, event organization, marketing, or purchases that improve the amenity of the environment.
Are you planning, for example, a common hangout place for young people in the village? Or would you like to organize an event that brings young people and villagers together? Youth Leader can help you realize your idea.
The application is open until the end of September 2026. Decisions on applications submitted by the end of September will be made during October 2026.
Who can apply and how much?
The applicant must be a group of young people:
- A group of at least three people aged 13–25.
- The group must have a designated adult contact person who is one of the young people in the group or an adult responsible adult.
- The applicant can be an informal group or an association.
- Youth money is awarded to a project in which young people are the implementers.
The amount of support is 100–800 euros, and Liiver's support can cover a maximum of 90% of the costs of the % project.
