This coming spring, media studies student Markus Loppi will be touring the Liiveri area with photography gigs. Read Markus' introduction to himself and suggest a place he should visit during his internship.
I'm Markus, a third-year media studies student. My interest in photography started when I was little.
I first got interested in videography. I remember filming an action movie with my friends on a flip phone. It didn't turn out to be Oscar-worthy, but it caught fire.
A little later, in a computer class in middle school, we were given the task of filming and editing a video. Our hands were completely free and our group made a comedy. All that creativity and ideation during the video making made me think that this is really fun.
Towards the end of high school, I had to start thinking about further studies. I sat in my study advisor's room and listened to my uncle list different study options. Nothing seemed interesting until my uncle asked: "So, what do you like to do in your free time?"
That's how I found the media industry. Now I'm studying the last few meters in Kauhajoki at Suupohja Vocational Institute. I'll spend the last three months of my studies in Liiver.
In the future, I hope to collaborate with various companies and clients, for whom I can produce media according to their needs, both for social media and websites. I am also thinking about further studies at either Helsinki Metropolia or Tampere Tamk. However, I have to go through the army first.
