Youth section member Milla Rantamäki and Heidi Kohtala from the Food Agency participated in the local meeting organized in Myslowice, Poland in June 2022. Liiveri sent ten young people or those working with young people on study trips to different parts of Europe: Italy, Poland, Germany, Greece and Bulgaria. Liiver's youth division met in Herrala on Wednesday 23 November. Elli Aro, Jenni Päivärinta and Laura Niemi from Ilmajoki and Veera Bohjanen from Seinäjoki started as new members of the division. You can read more about the youth division here. 

Optical fiber as a guarantee of vitality in Kurika

The city of Kurika wants to develop its sparsely populated areas by supporting the construction of their high-speed optical fiber network. Kurikka is the first municipality in South Ostrobothnia to utilize the broadband construction support of the EU's recovery tool. The broadband construction project has been put out to tender in the EP union, and possible fiber optic construction would start in the spring of 2023. Liiver's village expert retires

Irma Kortesuo, who worked as a village expert for more than ten years, will retire at the end of October. Irma had time to work in Liiver as the leader of four different village projects.
