We invite amateur theater creators, activists and enthusiasts to a networking meeting on Tuesday, April 7, 2026, from 5-8 p.m. at the Seinäjoki City Theater.
During the evening, you will have the opportunity to meet other people involved in amateur theater, exchange experiences, and hear interesting speeches from different aspects of theater making.
- Expert at Seinäjoki City Theatre Lauri Virkkala presents the possibilities of video productions in theater – how video can be utilized on stage and in storytelling. Riikka Aurasmaa tells about the operation of the stage studio and how sets can be implemented creatively and sustainably.
- Leena Rissan In the talk, we will hear about the joys and challenges of costuming for amateur theater - as well as tips on how to utilize recycling and existing materials in costuming.
- Ylihärmä and Kortesjärvi Ylikylä youth clubs tell about the power of collaboration: how theater groups can make purchases together, share resources and support each other's activities.
- Liver Telle Lemetyinen tells about project financing opportunities.
The event offers an opportunity to get new ideas for your own theater activities, find partners, and discuss how amateur theater can operate in a more environmentally friendly and cost-effective manner – for example, in the use of sets, costumes, and materials.
