The "Cooperation with the emergency services" training evening will be held on Tuesday, December 3. at 18:00 at Jaakko Ilka's school at Ollilantie 3D, 60800 Ilmajoki.
During the evening, the collaboration agreement between the Southern Ostrobothnia rescue service and Vapepa will be reviewed and further actions will be agreed upon. The trainer is fire chief Juha Turkulainen. The topics of the evening are e.g. the tasks according to the contract in relation to the possibilities of Vapepa's organizational field and the utilization of Vapepa in the development of preparedness for exceptional circumstances.
Voluntary rescue service is a network of 53 organizations whose emergency teams support the authorities in accidents and other crisis situations. Most of the time, Vapepa is called to search for a missing person, but volunteers are also needed, for example, to provide emotional support, direct traffic and help with evacuations.
Anyone who wants to help others in a practical way can join Vapepa's activities. Vapepa's member organizations organize training for all volunteers. The Finnish Red Cross acts as Vapepa's liaison organization.
Participants in the event are village and association activists, as well as anyone interested in volunteering!
