Ongoing projects and business support
Granting an extension
Project and business grants may be granted an extension in accordance with the applicable regulations based on exceptional circumstances. The applicant must submit an extension application to Hyrrä before the project implementation period ends. We will assist in making the extension application.
Changing an approved project
If changes need to be made to an approved project or business support, please contact Liiver before the change is implemented. The changes may concern, for example, the content or schedule of the project. We will determine whether it is necessary to submit an amendment application for the change.
If there is a risk that the project or business support will be cancelled completely, contact Liiver.
Covering costs resulting from cancellations
The costs of trips, events and trainings cancelled due to the coronavirus are eligible for support for projects, if they cannot be refunded. However, the primary aim should be to obtain a refund for the cancellation, e.g. from travel insurance.
Streamlining the processing of payment applications
ELY centres may prioritize payment applications due to the financial or other problematic situation of the company applying for payment, if the company's situation is known.
If, due to an extension, a fixed-term employment contract lasts more than a year, and it has not been in a public search, it must be put in a public search. The procedure may be simplified.
Layoff of a fixed-term employee is possible under certain conditions during the period of validity of the legal amendment from 1 April to 30 June 2020. For more information, e.g. from the industry association.
Project and business support available
Project and business grants can be applied for as normal even during exceptional circumstances. The Liiver board will process received grant applications on 9 June (applications to Hyrrä by 26 May).
Rural business financing to support businesses
The Rural Development Programme funding is not in the nature of crisis funding that could directly address the difficulties caused by the coronavirus epidemic. So far, it is not known that Liiveri would introduce new forms of funding to solve the problems caused by the coronavirus epidemic in companies.
