This fall, a project called Cultural well-being remotely, Well-being for villages and homes - culture and exercise remotely has started in South Ostrobothnia, the design and implementation of which is the responsibility of Seinäjoki University of Applied Sciences. The goal of the project is to offer cultural well-being and exercise services remotely/virtually both in the common living spaces of villages and in the homes of rural residents. The remote environments are built in five village halls or other common spaces of the village in the region of South Ostrobothnia.
The central goal of the project is to conceptualize services that would also remain as permanent services after the end of the project. The project will end at the end of 2022.
Now we are looking for five villages that want to be involved in piloting the measures implemented in the project
The project offers:
1) Remote connection devices to your village's common facilities (village hall, etc.) for the duration of the project. With the help of the devices, it is possible to transmit, for example, concerts of the Seinäjoki city orchestra or gymnastics lessons of a physiotherapist. The experts from Seinäjoki University of Applied Sciences are responsible for the installation of the devices and the functionality of the remote connections
2) SeAMK's expert resource for operational development. During the project, it is planned to pilot e.g. five event concepts, which will be implemented in the participating villages and which will also be transmitted virtually online. SeAMK's cultural production training program is involved in the planning of the events. SeAMK's physiotherapy training program is responsible for the planning and partial implementation of exercise services.
Participating villages are expected to:
1) Genuine interest and commitment to developing operations.
2) Participatory and communal approach to work
3) A contact person appointed by the village who acts as a link in the direction of the project and other participating villages
4) A project group (2-4 people) appointed by the village, which acts as support for the contact person and as a coordination group for activities
