Liiver's theme project enables associations and foundations to make equipment, machine and equipment investments related to hobbies and safety, as well as intangible investments. The project aims to increase community well-being and safety, i.e. the investments must be of general benefit.
- With this theme project, we want to support new types of hobby opportunities and safety. Through a small investment project, new players also have a good chance to get involved in development activities, says Sinikka Koivumäki, executive director of Liiver.
The cost estimate of the project can be between €1,000 and €8,000. Support is granted for 75 % of the costs of the investment, leaving 25 % as the self-financing portion. The self-financing portion can be part or all of the work. So, for example, for costs of 6,000 euros, you can get 4,500 euros of support from Liiveri, and the remaining 25 % can be the applicant's own money or manual work. Applicants can be associations and foundations in the Ilmajoki, Jalasjärvi and Seinäjoki areas, with the exception of Seinäjoki's core center.
Investments that increase community well-being suitable for the project can be, for example, musical instruments, AV equipment, light and sound reproduction equipment. Purchases related to physical activities can be, for example, gym equipment, basketball hoops or hockey goals. Investments related to other hobbies can be, for example, kitchen appliances for a cooking club or obstacle equipment for riders. The theme project also enables investments that improve safety. Such safety-related measures can include, for example, defibrillators, training defibrillators, training CPR mannequins, rescue equipment, small aggregates and fire safety devices for the village hall.
The application is open until May 8, 2022. Instructions, application criteria and application form related to the project can be found on Liiver's website. The investments are financed from Liiver's strategy, which is financed by the Rural Development Fund and the municipalities of the region.
