The annual meeting of the development association Liiveri ry was organized on March 26. At South Ostrobothnia College in Ilmajoki. At the meeting, new members were elected to Liiveri's board of directors to replace those who resigned.
The new chairman of the board was elected Päivi Alaniska From Seinäjoki.
The new board members were elected Marja Tyynismaa from Nurmo, Mari Mäki-Karvia from Jalasjärvi and Sonja Pitkäjärvi and Timo Kankaanpää From Ilmajoki.
New alternate members were elected Petri Yli-Mannila From Nurmo and Heikki Kossila From Jalasjärvi.
They will continue as members of the board Pia Rita-Luopa and Mikko Jokipii from Jalasjärvi, Tero Järvi and Matti Koivuluoma from Air River, Sari Rintala From Peräseinäjoki and Jaana Hurme From Seinäjoki as well Pirkko Ekoluoma From Ylistaro.
They will continue as deputy members of the board Saara Marttila and Tero Vuorenmäki from Jalasjärvi, Minna Tuohisto-Kokko, Veera Bohjanen, Anni Kirkkomäki and Juha-Pekka Karvonen From Ilmajoki and Terhi Hunnakko from Nurmo, Kari Homi from Seinäjoki, Eija Saariaho From Peräseinäjoki and Johanna Punkari From Ylistaro.
The board of Liiver plays a significant role in allocating funds from the EU Rural Development Fund for local development. The board meets monthly to decide on the projects to be financed. A third of the board members are elected from the representatives of municipalities, a third from representatives of companies and communities, and a third from rural residents.
