The annual meeting of the Development Association Liiveri elected the association's new chairman. Mari Mäki-Karvian from Jalasjärvi. Mäki-Karvia has previously served as vice-chairman of the board of directors of Liiver and as a board member. He is an active association activist, among others. Chairman of the Jalasjärvi Society. New members were elected to the board. To represent the residents of the area, a full member was elected. Elina Kouhia from Seinäjoki and as deputy members Blue Ritamäki From Jalasjärvi and Eero-Pekka Hautamäki From Ilmajoki. The public entity was elected to represent Reetta Kananoja From Ilmajoki and Heidi-Maaria Haapala From Seinäjoki and Juha Palo From Ylistaro.
The previous members of the board were elected for further terms. A rural resident who previously served as a deputy member of the board Saara Marttila A resident of Jalasjärvi was now elected as a full member of the board. A rural resident was elected to continue as a full member of the board. Tero Järvi from Ilmajoki. The following were elected to continue as alternate members: Eija Saariaho From Peräseinäjoki, Tero Vuorenmäki From Jalasjärvi and Lauri Pentinmäki From Ilmajoki.

The selections were made at the annual meeting of the Development Association Liiveri, which was held at the Jokipii Youth Club House in Alase, Jalasjärvi, on Tuesday, March 24, 2026.
The Liiveri board decides which projects and companies receive funding in accordance with the local development strategy. The board acts as an important network that brings together local actors and promotes cooperation for the development of the area. One third of the board members are elected from municipal representatives, one third from representatives of companies and communities, and one third from rural residents.
