The year has gone by fast! One of the highlights of Liiver's year was the opening of funding applications and the fact that funding was granted again after the break. There have been a good number of projects and business subsidies handled by Liiver's board, and next year we will continue!
Much more has happened this year. We have organized events, completed large projects, and our network has grown even more with new projects. We stopped for a moment to think about what kind of successes and highlights we Livians remembered from 2023.

"Liiveri has been able to join the international competition Gengreen - to the green entrepreneurship project. Through the project, female entrepreneurs who are planning the entrepreneurship of the green transition in our region, as well as those who are already active in the field, get to develop their business idea in a business incubator, in trainings and in an international network. The project will start at the beginning of 2024 and will last three years. In addition to operators from southern Pohja, partners from Finland, Sweden and Norway are involved in the project.

"One of the highlights of the year was the Dream to Reality event. There was an enthusiastic and inspired atmosphere, and the participants were also comfortably present. With the event, we got the new financial season off to a good start. With the atmosphere of the event, it is good to continue with next year's project applications.
You should apply for funding now to implement your ideas. Liiver's board processes the received applications monthly. Us for the people of Liberia you can always call or send a message if something related to the application worries you. We advise you further and are helpful throughout the entire application process."

"I remembered the completed Matka theme project, whose study trips have been implemented despite quite a few challenges (corona). Nine different associations made a total of 10 different trips, seven of which were made to different European countries and three to Finland. We will hear more about the trips and the ideas born from them in January organized by Liiver Wings for internationalization - at the event. The event will also tell how Liiveri can support the internationalization of associations and companies in the future. So it's worth going to the hearing if internationalization is of interest to you."

"My highlight of the year was the Clear the table for decision-makers events, where young people were able to meet local decision-makers and leaders at youth facilities. The events were organized in cooperation with local youth activities and the EU information center. Liiver's youth division was an important part of planning the events. I hope that this was just the beginning and that there will be many more similar events! Next Clean the table with the decision makers event will be held in Ilmajoki in January."

"It is difficult to name just one highlight from the past year, because I have been able to participate in so many interesting things within the project. The work has included a lot of getting to know new people, and perhaps that has been the best part. One of the many highlights is, for example, when I was part of the Youthful Leaders project's study tour in Latvia in May. Next year, the development of the villages will continue with new ideas and thoughts!"

"One of the successes of the year was the publication of new websites. The pages were worked on for a long time and it paid off, because the new pages are clear and easy to keep up to date. In addition to Leader financing information, the website includes e.g. gathering of party spaces for rent in the area party hall register and updated village introductions. The WordPress publishing system enables the development of pages piece by piece in the future as well. At the moment, the English version of the site is under review, so in the future we will be able to offer all the information found on the site in English as well.
I also remembered the cotton candy making shown in the picture at Liiver's Open Doors event. It was quite fun, as you can see from the picture!”
