Villages can establish a village security team from among themselves. The village security team is the village's own, voluntary preparation for crises. With the village security team, help is close to the residents and the team also helps official assistance reach the destination faster. An important task of the team is to transmit situational information between the rescue service and the village in cases of accidents and disturbances.
The team needs different skills, so depending on the village's own needs and resources, it can include, for example, hunters, vape enthusiasts, MKN members, reservists and healthcare professionals. The team also needs ordinary villagers, or helpers, to act and help when the situation requires it. We all make a difference!
Village security team members can also join Vapepa's activities. Vapepa members are part of the emergency team and receive training in important topics such as: first aid, provisioning, terrain search and providing emotional support.
We assembled a village security team to set up various tasks that could be faced in a disturbance situation. However, villages can assemble a team according to their own needs and resources.
