On September 5, 2023, the youth divisions of Liiver and Suupohja and the EU information center organized the "Clean the table for decision-makers" event, where young people could ask questions to their decision-makers. In addition, there were pizzas offered by the EU information center, as well as the opportunity to play with the decision-makers.
City council chairman Sami Keskinen (second from right), education director Päivi Hernesmaa (center) and library director Jonna Saarijärvi (second from left) were there to answer the questions of the young people. While waiting for the pizzas, the evening started with the presentation of the decision-makers. They were asked about their favorite food, and after a little discussion, the answer was, among other things, lasagna, oven sausage, macaroni box and feta salad.
The great popularity of the pizzas was a surprise, and all the pizzas were eaten. During the eating holiday, the young people answered a few questions. 13-year-old Aili said that they just agreed with their friends that now we will go to Wilhola and at the same time here to the event. The 13-year-olds Manna and Jenny answered that they just decided to come to the youth farm with their friends. Adalmiina 13y. stated that the best thing about the event was definitely the pizza servings.
Various brochures, candy, reflectors, pens and notebooks were distributed at the information points of the youth divisions and the EU information center. In addition, there you could participate in the raffle of the youth divisions, where the prize was a pizza gift card. The EU information center also had its own raffle, where it was possible to win a surprise prize by completing an EU-themed grid. At the event, there was also time for casual gaming and chatting with the decision-makers. All in all, a lot of young people participated in the event, and the youth farm had a huge number of visitors on Tuesday evening. The atmosphere at the event was great and the young people had a great time. The organizers described the evening as a success as a whole.
Clean the table with decision-makers events will also be organized later in Nurmo and Ilmajoki.
