Young people's participation in the activities of associations, clubs and other communities does not happen by itself – but when young people are given space and opportunities, their ideas and energy can renew the entire operating culture. This idea is supported by Liiver's new website, which provides concrete examples and ideas for youth participation.
The website is based on the need to respond to the challenges faced by communities: how to find new volunteers, make activities more attractive, and at the same time offer meaningful experiences to young people? Young people do want to influence and participate, as long as their voices are heard and the thresholds for participation are lowered.
Practical stories and successes
The tips and videos on the new page are based on real experiences. There are stories about young volunteers and entrepreneurs, as well as associations that have succeeded in activating young people to participate in activities. Selmu is a good example of an association whose activities interest young people. Examples can also be found, for example, in the Peräseinäjoki Migration Museum, in the development of whose activities young people are involved, and in Ilmajoki, where young people implemented an outdoor gym through the Leader project.
New page supports the future of communities
The ideas collected on the page aim not only to activate young people, but also to ensure the vitality of communities in the future. The involvement of young people enriches the activities, brings fresh perspectives and ensures continuity. Discover the ideas, get inspired and collect the ones that suit you!
