In the Lamminjärvi area of Jalasjärvi, participatory planning has started in the fall of 2022 with the associations operating in the area. During this year, a development plan for the area will be drawn up, which will take into account the area's various functions and actors, as well as tourism perspectives, among other things. The joint vision of the associations on the development of the area is recorded in the plan and possible implementing agencies are considered.
In the fall of 2021, Liiveri collected development ideas from the Jalasjärvi area and presented them at a public event in the spring of 2022. The ideas highlighted the need for development in the Lamminjärvi area very strongly. Development possibilities were discussed in a couple of ideation evenings and it was decided to apply for a design project, which was led by the vitality department of the city of Kurika.
The project started in August 2022. During the fall, basic information about the city's plans has been collected to form the basis of the plan, and participative planning events held with associations have been started.
- In the planning sessions, we think with different parties about what is being done in Lamminjärvi today, what would be done there and what measures would be needed in the area. It is also important to think about what you would like to do in the area in, for example, five years from now, says Reetta Yli-Hynnilä, project coordinator of the city of Kurika.
Along with ideation and dreaming, we also think about who could implement the ideas with each association.
- The purpose is that with the help of the plan that is being drawn up, the associations could later implement development measures in the area, for example with the help of Liiver's funding.
We will really get up to speed in the preparation of the plan during the spring.
- If your association wants to be involved in ideation, you should contact me so that we can agree on a time for the planning meeting, Reetta encourages.
