Where will people gather in your village if, for example, there is a long power outage or a water supply disruption? The village house survey collects information about the communal spaces in villages that can be used for gatherings in times of disruption.
By using the village house survey, you strengthen your village's preparedness. At the same time, you ensure that the authorities also have the necessary information to act effectively if something happens. Every village's response is important!
The village house survey proceeds as follows:
- Discuss the village together and agree on one place where you can gather in case of disruptions and crises.
- Please ensure permission to disclose information from the owner of the property.
- Please provide the meeting place information in the village hall survey. By 30.9.
- The provincial contact person will provide information about the sites to the municipal and welfare region authorities.
The village house survey is part of the national project Village Resources as the Basis of Local Preparedness, which aims to strengthen the preparedness of villages and local communities for disruptions and crises. The project, managed by the Finnish Villages Association, has received funding from the European Rural Development Fund.
