At the annual meeting on 26 March 2024 Tarja Pienimäki handed over the chairmanship of Liiver's board Päivi Alaniska.
Vice chairman Pirkko Ekoluoma stated in his acceptance speech that Tarja's position of trust in Liiver's board of directors started in 2017 and a year after that the six-year chairmanship period began. Tarja has carried through the long term of chairmanship energetically and firmly, but meeting matters have also been carried forward with humor.
Over the years, a lot of project applications have flowed through the meetings, and those projects have achieved a lot in the Liiver region. Many projects are visible and will remind Tarja of her work at Liiver.
On behalf of the board and the staff, many thanks to Tarja for the past years in the board's activities.
Päivi Alaniska, who has been on Liiver's board of directors for six years, will take over as chairman.
"Leader financing is an important low-threshold financing instrument for rural communities and businesses, the effects of which can be seen in the everyday lives of people in our region. Board work is therefore very meaningful and motivating. In addition, Liiver has very competent and experienced staff, with whom it is a pleasure to work even more closely in the new role of chairman." Alaniska commented.
