The Liiver board awarded the 2025 diploma at the annual meeting in Nurmo on March 25, 2025. Jaakko and Sari to Koskenkorva in recognition of their significant work for rural development, tourism and local culture.
Driven by passion and bold ideas, Koskenkorva Trahteeri has grown into a versatile tourist destination that combines history, sauna culture and togetherness. The Könnimuseo and Koskenkorva Museum tell the story of the area, and open saunas, concerts and meals bring people together.
Jaakko and Sari have developed the business with commitment and long-term persistence, expanding the Trahteeri concept to become more open and accessible through the generational change. They have shown how traditions and new ideas can go hand in hand, strengthening the appeal of the entire area.
An important part of their work is also cooperation with other local actors. They do not see competition but opportunities to build experiential rural tourism together. In addition, their active role in various associations and tourism networks promotes the vitality of the entire South Ostrobothnia.
Warm congratulations and many thanks for your valuable work for the benefit of the countryside. The Development Association Liiveri wishes you happiness and success!
