Leader Liiveri has elected Tarja Pienimäki from Ilmajoki as the new chairperson at its annual meeting. Pienimäki has extensive experience in business development. She currently works as a private consultant at Develop Train Oy.
– The feelings are excited and expectant. Good work has been done in Liiver over the years, and hopefully it will only continue and improve, Pienimäki says.
In particular, he hopes that as many people as possible will become enthusiastic about local development and that many new business ideas that enrich the region, as well as projects by associations and citizens, will be brought to the fore.

– The most important task of the chairman is to ensure that the board members feel they are in the right place to make decisions that are important for the region, Viertoma says.
The meeting also awarded the Jalasjärvi-based Mukula Association for its good development work. Mukula has long offered young people the opportunity to have their voices heard.
