A total of nine associations applied for funding for investments that improve safety and energy efficiency. Such purchases include, for example, fire alarms, exit lights, air source heat pumps and solar panels.
– Every euro saved on heating costs for common meeting rooms is a saving that associations can use for their actual activities. Associations in our area also bring a lot of people together. That is why it is important that safety matters are in order, says village expert Irma Kortesuo from Liiver.
Liiveri will pay 65 percent of the investment costs. The board will decide on the projects to be financed at its meeting on June 11.
