Liiveri has granted money to the Seinäjoki and Ilmajoki associations to hire 16 young people next summer. The upcoming tasks range from planning game and nature clubs to social media marketing and creating new events.
What unites these diverse tasks is that instead of traditional summer jobs such as mowing lawns and selling ice cream, the young person gets to develop the association's activities.
– With this arrangement, everyone wins. The young person gains valuable work experience, the association gains fresh ideas, and we succeed in our mission as a promoter of young people's opportunities to influence, says Sinikka Koivumäki, Executive Director of Liiver.
During the spring, Liiveri offered associations in the area the opportunity to apply for money to employ young people. A total of 24 applications were received. Liiveri's youth division was involved in processing the applications and in the end, salary money was awarded to 12 associations. The money was raised by utilizing Leader funding and the cooperation initiated with the Kuortane Savings Bank Foundation.
Funded associations and youth work assignments.
