Liiveri implemented the For Villages I project together with other Leader groups in Southern Ostrobothnia in 2015-2017. The project encouraged villages and their associations in development activities.
One of the most significant activities of the project was to support and activate the activities of village cooperation groups. Cooperation groups are an excellent way to increase cooperation between villages and the exchange of information, also towards municipalities.
The national Open Villages Day established itself as a part of the villages' wide range of events. Villages and associations were also helped with the marketing and information of other events, such as amateur theatre performances and family events, which play a significant role in the cultural offer of their communities.
The training courses organized have increased the communication and association skills of village actors. The compiled websites and brochures have provided visibility for the activities and service offerings of villages and village halls. The use of social media has also strengthened the image building and resident marketing of the villages.
