Liiveri organizes events for the residents of the villages, where they discuss together with the authorities what the role of volunteers could be in emergency situations. The tour starts on 6.10.2018 from the Ilmajoki fire station. The next events will be at the Jalasjärvi House on 10.11.2018 and at the Kainasto Youth Club in Ylistaro on 19.1.2019. The training will increase the readiness of the villages in the area for security work and highlight the importance of organizing volunteer activities in everyday disruptions. Village residents, association activists and others interested in the issue are invited to attend the training day.
The safety day will review the possibilities of cooperation with authorities and consider together the role of the participants and their supporting organizations in possible exceptional situations such as forest fires, floods or long power outages caused by winter storms. The starting material for the afternoon group work will be real events, which will be adapted to the conditions of the area, and the aim will be to find the needs of safety work from the participants' perspective.
