Business support kicks off Ylistaro

2.2.2016

Kyrönmaan Fysioterapia expanded its service offering and opened a gym in Ylistaro, Seinäjoki. A similar service, where customers have access to the gym every day from 8 am to 9 pm, has not previously existed in the Ylistaro area. Recently, another Ylistaro company, Vuorelan Rauta, also expanded its gunsmithing premises and was able to improve its customer service. Both companies have received investment support from Leader Liiver.

Juha Laitila, Tuula Harjamäki and Marika Jalonen welcome customers to the gym or group exercise classes. Liiveri granted investment support for the renovation of the premises and the purchase of gym equipment.

The first corporate gym in Ylistaro

Opening a gym in connection with the physiotherapy facilities made it possible to hire a new employee and there are also plans to hire another person to the company, says the Kyrönmaa Physiotherapy entrepreneur with joy. Tuula HarjamäkiThe company, founded in 1994, has always employed three employees in addition to Harjamäki himself.

A physiotherapist started as a new employee Juha Laitila, in addition to him, a physiotherapist also works as a gym instructor Marika JalonenThe gym's services include individual guidance at the beginning of training, which includes an interview, the creation of an individual program, and an introduction to the equipment. Laitila and Jalonen also lead group exercise classes and exercise for special groups.

– Opening a gym in connection with the physiotherapy facilities made it possible to hire a new employee, and there are also plans to hire another person to the company, says Kyrönmaa Fysioterapia entrepreneur Tuula Harjamäki happily. The company, founded in 1994, has always employed three employees in addition to Harjamäki herself.

– People of all ages and levels can start exercising in the gym, the instructors assure. For example, the gym group for seniors is intended for older people to maintain and improve their mobility and functional ability. Muscle fitness training is important for coping with everyday life and preventing falls.

The total costs of starting Kyrönmaa Physiotherapy's gym operations are 72,606 euros, of which Liiver's investment support is 14,521.20 euros.

Vuorela has customers all over Finland.

Mikko Vuorela is a third-generation entrepreneur at Vuorela Rauda. The generational change took place in 2002, and Vuorela, who graduated as a gunsmith-artisan, focused his company's business on the sale, repair and maintenance of weapons. The workshop also continues to manufacture, among other things, special bolts.

“With the expansion of the business premises last summer, customer service is of even higher quality and more functional, as the service side could be separated from the sales side and the product range could be increased,” says Vuorela. At the same time, an alarm system was also installed and furniture was purchased.

The business, operating under the subsidiary name Asepaja M. Vuorela, serves customers all over Finland. Vuorela, who has been involved in hunting since he was a child, has gained trust among hunters, shooting enthusiasts and importers alike and is, in his own words, “already a name of sorts” as a specialist in the firearms industry. The internet is a good marketing channel and many orders are handled by phone or email.

– There are always customers from Joensuu, Inari, Hanko and Lahti, says Mikko's mother Marja-Liisa Vuorela, who has already retired from the company, but still helps his son with running things as needed. Mikko's spouse Minna Vuorelan also intends to get employed at the company.

Vuorela Rauta celebrated the family business's 70th anniversary last year and in July celebrated the opening of the gunsmith's expansion. The gunsmith's expansion project was Liiver's first business support application this program period. Minna, Marja-Liisa and Mikko Vuorela are delighted with the new, spacious business premises.

The total costs of the expansion of the Vuorela Rauda gunsmithing workshop are 68,813.00 euros, of which Liiver's investment support is 13,762.60 euros.
