Alavalli

Alavalli is an idyllic country village whose landscape is dominated by fields, forests, houses and farms. The Hirvijoki river meanders through Alavalli. Alavall has approx. 200 inhabitants and the village is located in the eastern part of Jalasjärvi. The center of the village is at the intersection of Ala- and Yli-Vallintie, 13 km from the church village. The neighboring villages of Alavalli are Hirvijärvi, Ylivalli and Kihniänkylä on the Seinäjoki side. A busy railway passes through Alavalli.

Facilities and hobby opportunities

Alavalli has its own village hall, which can be rented for parties or other events. A weaving circle and a gym club meet weekly at the house. Bigger annual events are dinners organized by the Village Association and the Youth Association and a Christmas party. Behind the village hall is a lighted riding arena for horse enthusiasts. The Ahjola Youth Club is located in the center of Alavalli, which is suitable for summer use.

Alavalli has space to live and play. The village has good meeting places and a genuine country atmosphere. In Alavalli you can find the peace of nature and excellent berry forests.

Special features of the village

Alavalli is above all an agricultural village. Milk production is the biggest production trend. In addition, there are broiler farms, beef cattle and pig farms in the village. Forestry is also an important way of life, and timber is loaded into train cars from Jalasjärvi station. There are many small entrepreneurs in the village, representing e.g. transport and construction industry and machine contracting. A stallion stable and a saddler operate in the field of horse husbandry. Honey is produced on the Vallinmäki farm. Various events are also held there during the summer. A maker of birch plywood interior products and a seedling grower of green plants operate in the village as entrepreneurs in specialized fields.

Alavalli has good transport connections to Seinäjoki, Tampere and via Virtai to Jyväskylä. The calm and beautiful milieu creates a good setting for meeting business customers, and the fiber optic cable enables fast communication connections.
