Kainasto village is crossed by Highway 18 Seinäjoki-Vaasa and the railway. Kainasto is a village of about 150 people, which has become known for its lively summer theater activities and ski jumps. The appearance of the village is dominated by the old youth club building and the former school, which houses a kindergarten. Kainasto is a village with a long profile, surrounded by wonderful, fertile field landscapes. The village has two small lakes, Varrasjärvi and Vähäjärvi. The history of the village has been collected in the book Kainastoa kansie kansi (2002), which was the first Ylistaro village history book.
The village's common gathering space is the Kainaston Youth Club Hall, which was completed in its current form in 1928. The solid log walls of the hall create an atmospheric gathering space for everyday life and celebrations. The renovation of the youth club was completed in the spring of 2014, and the renovated facilities offer an excellent setting for many kinds of parties. The facilities of the youth club and Jyrkä's summer theater enable many kinds of hobby activities. Spaces are rented for various family celebrations such as weddings and birthdays or for meetings and training events.
The village has decades of tradition in theater. There are theater clubs for different ages. In the summer of 2017, the framework of the Jyrkä summer theater was renewed. A canopy was built over the auditorium and summer theater guests can now sit in a good seat with a back. The auditorium now has a total of 400 seats.
In the area of the youth club, there are jumping hills where beginners can start the hobby of ski jumping, as well as a frisbee golf course and an archery course.

The village has city lots and a townhouse owned by the city. There are also vacant construction sites for private individuals. The city's main water supply and main sewer run through the village, to which a considerable number of households can be connected.
The village's strength is fast transport connections in many directions. It is approx. 17 km to Seinäjoki and 7 km to the center of Ylistaro. The trip to Vaasa takes about 45 minutes. Kainaston Teräsmäki is one of Seinäjoki's most important growing industrial areas, where important companies operate. Due to the excellent location of the village, the number of residents and the number of jobs in the village will increase. The renovation of the clubhouse gave faith to the rise of the kökä spirit in the village, and the renovated house is a great opportunity for many new activities.
