Common spaces

The function building, which is the heart of the residential area, has meeting, sauna and party rooms for rent. The shed of the Kasperi-Kivistö club was completed in 2000. It is located along Kärjenlenk in Luomanmutka. Halliska's shed was completed in 2011. It is located along the Hallilanvuori fitness track, near the exit of the Kasper ball court. Halliska laavu offers barrier-free access to laavu experiences for everyone.


Associations

The Kasperi-Kivistö association is a residents' association that has been active in Seinäjoki since 1978. For thirty years, the association has done important work to develop the residential areas of Kasperi and Kivistö and to increase the comfort of the residents. One of the most important tasks of the residents' association has been the development of services in their own residential area, and to increase and bring them to their own "village".

Tomintontenaloyhdistys ry was founded in 2011. The purpose of the association is to maintain, increase and develop community spirit, equality, inclusion and well-being in the surrounding area and the surrounding province, as well as to prevent exclusion. The association continues the Tomintinton Talo project started by the Kasperi-Kivistö society in 1998. The building functions as a job training unit for the city of Seinäjoki. The house has the opportunity for services that increase participation in working life through job training in real work tasks. The building employs several dozen people every year through various employment measures.   


The most important events in the village

Toimari has around 400 customer visits every day. About 800 different events are organized annually in cooperation with associations, organizations and individual citizens. The events are either free for customers or for a very small fee, in which case everyone has the opportunity to participate. On summer Saturdays, the tailgate flea market at the fountain in Kasperi-aukio. 


Services

The function hall's cafe is a meeting place for all people, where unauthorized stay is allowed, and there is no compulsion to buy. Sustainable development is strengthened with the help of flea market operations. Customers can sell things they no longer need or buy something necessary with a small amount of money. Toimari has spaces for rent for meetings, parties or any occasion. There is also a self-service flower shop in the same building.
