Keskikylä

Keskikylä is a lively and full of life, rural village with a good spirit. Highway 3, which runs through the village, ensures that there is enough life - new people are coming at a steady pace and business activity is active. The village's excellent location makes life easier: the center of Jalasjärvi and the basic services of everyday life are just over five minutes away. You can get to Seinäjoki, Kurikka, Ilmajoki, Kauhajoki and Karvia in about half an hour, and it takes half an hour to the Seinäjoki and Parkano train stations as well.

The village has really wide possibilities for hobbies. Activities for children are offered, for example, by the very active 4H club. Men's and women's dances meet weekly in Harjula. There is also a weaving circle for those with manual skills. Every year, amateur actors are on stage at the youth club house in Harjula.
One of the biggest strengths of the active village association, your horsemanship, makes our village a horse enthusiast's dream place. An outdoor field has been rebuilt in connection with it.

Harjula's illuminated ice rink can be used by everyone in winter. The game hunting lodge's hut is freely available to outdoor enthusiasts along the trail and outdoor trail. The hut is often one of the stops on the entire municipality's sports and skiing days, including moonlight skiing. A wonderful two-story log building has also been built at Koda, which you can rent for your own use.

The lighted low-traffic lane running along the highway guarantees a safe route to school, offering, for example, tens of kilometers of skating rink for roller skaters. Jogging is enhanced by the village's very abundant and versatile network of small roads, along which you can admire both fields, the peace of the forest and hilly landscapes.

Village events

The annual Easter whale gathers around Harjula Mäki people from both their own village and from further afield. The Children's Agricultural Exhibition held in September for several years has been very popular. The equestrian center's arena and outdoor arena, as well as various competitions, are also additions to the village's calendar events. Our youth club also organizes plays, auctions and, of course, dinners for gourmets. The youth club house can also be rented for private use. Many private parties are held there every year.

Keskikylä is a dream place for your own home - you can build a cabin in your own peace and in the middle of a beautiful landscape, but along good connections. We have options of different sizes and looks: with or without field patch, forest and field edge, hilly terrain and flat land. The municipality's water supply and sewerage network greatly facilitates construction. In addition, the village has a fiber optic cable connection. On top of the shop, you become part of a living village community. MKS of Keskikylä offers €300 rent-free for its equipment to those building a house in the village!
