Koskenkorva is located between highway 3 and national road 67, along Kyrönjoki. The village has about 2,200 inhabitants. The terrain is a rural open field, the most visible landmarks of which are the Santavuori and Anora (formerly Altia) factories. Next to the factory is the Koskenkorva railway station, which has been decommissioned and is now privately owned. Koskenkorva is named after the railway station established in 1911, which in turn was named after a local house. In the direction of Santavuori, Koskenkorvaa is bordered by the town of Kurika.
