Rengonkylä

Rengonkylä is an active, child-loving and child-rich village. The vibrancy of the village is maintained by the interestingness of the village in terms of land supply, and there are many new farms. The roots of the village are given by the regular villagers, many of whom have been living in the village for several generations. Rengonkylä is located about 10 kilometers from both Seinäjoki and Ilmajoki. Rengonharju Airport and Kyrkösjärvi with its adventure trails are located next to the village. Rengonkylä is very close to Pojanluoma village and there is a lot of cooperation in the area and, for example, common school. The landscape is a rural and forest landscape.

Services

At the turn of the millennium, a new school of about one hundred students was completed in the village, which also includes pre-school education. Day care is organized in groups and in family day care. The old Rengo school has youth facilities and a weaving circle. Service station services are provided by Teboil Rengonhovi. Entrepreneurs from different fields also work in the area. The library van travels around the village offering a good service to the villagers.

Hobby opportunities and events

Rengonkylä offers many different hobby opportunities. The school organizes various guided sports groups. The village has its own gym, which moved to new and better facilities in early 2015, and new equipment was purchased there. The school has a skating rink maintained by the parent committee in winter. The newly completed cross track offers opportunities for juniors who are enthusiastic about motor sports. The village association also owns Ruissaari, which can be rented in a variety of ways for various occasions or family use. Ruissaari has a sauna cabin (Matintupa) completed in 2005 and a 65-square-meter hut with large terraces and performance ceilings. Ruissaari also has a shed and a canoe shed with canoes. In Ruissaari, you can organize idle activities and family parties, etc., with which there are already many positive experiences. Ruissaari is located in the upper part of Rengonkoski. There it is possible to enjoy, e.g. fishing and kayaking. From Ruisaari, there is also a nature trail connection to Honkakylä and Seinäjoki, which functions as a maintained cross-country skiing trail in winter. The horse hobby is also in full swing, and the villagers have a recently renovated riding arena and great cross-country trails. Both the village club and the parent committee of Neiro school organize various activities throughout the year.

Construction sites

Rengonkylä has been a very popular construction site, and in recent years land sales and construction have been brisk. There are plans to increase plots for purchase in the next few years. The village has a master plan pending.

The strengths of the village

The village is ideally located in a wooded and quiet area, yet only a short distance from the county center. Lake and riverside landscapes and villa living create their own stamp on the village's coziness and hobby opportunities. The community spirit of the village is also good and there is plenty to do. As proof of that, e.g. a cross track and a hut and a canoe shed to Ruissaari created with the hard work of the villagers. In addition to good outdoor activities, there are plenty of opportunities for exercise. The completion of the eastern bypass has also increased the safety of movement and improved the already good connections even further.

The village's most important development sites

As a result of the abundant construction, the challenge for the village is adequate day care provision. There is also room for improvement in terms of roads and lighting.
