In the yard of Juupajärvi school starts a lighted fitness track, which can be used as a chewing track in the summer. There is also a lighted 1.5 km track in Siltala. At the beginning of the trail is a shed with a campfire. Lake Juupajärvi is a versatile bird lake and an area used for recreation, which is popular with both bird watchers and hunters. There is a pier and changing rooms on the shore of the lake. A hiking trail also runs through the village of Siltala and from the edges of Juupakylä.
