Johanna Ikola as provincial village representative

The board of the Southern Pohjois Villages Association appointed Johanna Ikola from Lapua as the association's executive director and new provincial village representative. Juha Pohjonen, who has been the village representative for two decades, will retire at the beginning of April. He is already on part-time retirement, and Ikola will take up the reins as of the beginning of March. Johanna Ikola has served as a trusted person in the EPK since the association's inception. Money being distributed for joint activities among young people!

Liiveri grants support for youth projects that allow young people to influence their own living environment and organize meaningful activities. The Youth Leader application period is 15 February–29 March 2016. The amount of support awarded is 100–800 euros, which covers a maximum of 90 % of the project costs. Harri Pihlajamäki started working on Liiver's Kotokortteli project at the beginning of January. His task is to inspire the residents of Seinäjoki to self-directed development in the downtown area. Business support kicks off Ylistaro

Kyrönmaa Fysioterapia expanded its service offering and opened a gym in Ylistaro, Seinäjoki. A similar service, where the customer has access to the gym every day from 8 am to 9 pm, has never existed in the Ylistaro area before. Extensive disturbance in the administrative sector's information system January 21, 2016 Wide-ranging disturbances were detected in the shared information systems of the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry's administrative sector on Thursday afternoon. The service provider Tieto is investigating the problem. The disorder concerns e.g. Use of the Hyrrä, Vipu and Nekka transaction services of the Rural Development Agency. It is expected that the system will not be restored to working order on Thursday within the working hours. Repairs will continue until the services are available again.
