Hire a young developer!

We challenge associations to hire young people to develop community activities.

Liiveri grants funding for development projects that allow associations to hire young people to develop their community. The purpose of the support is to make young people's fresh expertise available to the community and to offer young people jobs in their own area and field. In this call, young people are defined as people aged 18–29.

  • Small development projects with a budget of €2,000–8,000 are available for hire.
  • The support for the jacket is 80 %. The remaining 20 % is for the applicant's own money or donations for the project.
  • Eligible costs in the project include, among others, salary costs, purchasing services, travel costs, material costs, and unpaid work for the benefit of the project.
  • The association can use the funding to hire one or more young people. The employment relationship can be part-time or full-time. It can also be scheduled during the summer.
  • Associations and foundations can apply for support To the Liveri region.
  • Applications submitted to Hyrrä by January 13, 2026 will be processed at the meeting in Liiveri in early February.

Examples of activities for which young people can be hired:

  • Restaurant student develops association dinners to take current diets and trends into account
  • A young communicator will renew the association's communications and operations, e.g. utilizing videos, gamification and social media in the association's communications
  • A young person interested in history makes the village's history visible to the village
  • The young person develops the community's environmental and climate expertise, for example through communication.
  • An event management student develops a new event and concept for the association.
  • Examples of development projects carried out by young people in associations. Learn about previously funded Boost for Action projects (link)

Support is granted for the development of community activities, not for the association's so-called normal activities. Normal activities include, for example, mowing the lawn, washing windows, and developing financial management.
