At the "Clean the table with decision-makers" evening, young people get answers
On Wednesday, December 13, 2023, from 18 to 20 at Nurmo's youth center Kenu (Nurmontie 7, Nurmo), Seinäjoki city leaders will be challenged to answer young people's questions.
Leader Liiveri, Seinäjoki youth services and South Ostrobothnia's EU information center organize an event together in Seinäjoki, where young people can challenge adults who know and decide about the issues of their hometown to answer tough questions in a Christmas atmosphere. A similar event was also organized in Jalasjärvi in early autumn. The mayor of Seinäjoki will participate in the event Jaakko Kiiskilän, director of youth affairs Pekka Hautamäki and welfare manager Henna Rantasaari, who will be asked questions about things that interest young people at the event. During the evening, young people get to get to know their decision-makers and play various games with them during the conversation, such as billiards, ping pong and other card and board games. The young people also get information from the EU Information Center about international opportunities, and from Liiver about realized youth projects and funding opportunities for young people. The event has a Christmas theme, so there will be Christmas delicacies and tinkering with Christmas tarts and gingerbread.
Entry to the event is free, and no pre-registration is required! Young people can ask questions to city leaders either in advance or at the event anonymously via the Forms platform at https://urly.fi/3ltH. Prizes will be drawn among all the young people who participated in the event!
The event is organized in cooperation with the staff of Nurmo youth center Kenu. The idea and organization of the event are also the young people of Liiver's youth division.Welcome aboard!
