Increasing security measures not only prepare for risks and crises, but also make everyday life easier. Being prepared creates permanence and builds well-being and community.
Liiveri will grant funding for communities' preparedness investments in the fall of 2025. Investment can be the purchase of machinery and equipment, such as a generator, village radio, or heart attack detector, or construction, such as building a disabled ramp for a community center or a backup system for a water cooperative. How do you want to develop the safety of your community?
Security investments can range from €2,000 to €185,000. The support is 65 % of the project costs. Self-financing 35 % can be money and/or volunteer work for the project.
Consider interim funding for the project and your own financing while you prepare the project application.
The value of volunteering for the project is €20/hour per person and €60/hour per hour with a large machine. Volunteering can also ensure the implementation of the investment and expertise in the community.
