- At the strategy day, the future season was planned using functional methods and a lot of ideas were born, says Liiver's executive director Sinikka Koivumäki
The participation of young people and families with children was highlighted as an important theme. The region needs a new kind of community, the tourism sector needs to be developed and the role of culture as a promoter of well-being to be strengthened. The prevailing entrepreneurial atmosphere will fuel the birth of new ones in the future as well.
- The new innovations of rural companies can be related to, for example, the circular and bioeconomy, the fight against climate change, logistics, internationalization and new opportunities in food production.
A successful strategy requires genuine joint action. Therefore, it is hoped that residents, companies and various organizations will participate in the planning.
- The work will continue until 2021 and everyone who wants to can participate in the creation of the strategy. If you have ideas on how to develop the area, you can also contact Liiveri directly, says Koivumäki.
You can learn a lot from the work done in the last season. Liiver's strategy was evaluated as the best in the country for the past seven years.
- The level is kept high, but too much pressure should not be taken. We make a new strategy with enthusiasm and skill. The effort is to have a good strategy that looks like the people of the area, and the voice of the local people is heard.
The planning of the new financial period was started in September, when Liiver's trustees and employees gathered for a strategy day. Theater expression director Tanja Huuskonen the future up to 2027 was envisioned in the workshop.
