Extensive disturbance in the administrative sector's information system January 21, 2016 Wide-ranging disturbances were detected in the shared information systems of the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry's administrative sector on Thursday afternoon. The service provider Tieto is investigating the problem. The disorder concerns e.g. Use of the Hyrrä, Vipu and Nekka transaction services of the Rural Development Agency. It is expected that the system will not be restored to working order on Thursday within the working hours. Repairs will continue until the services are available again. Payment of business subsidies starts in February

The ELY centers will start making decisions on business support applications in mid-December. Payment of business subsidies is possible from mid-February. After receiving the subsidy decision, the beneficiary can apply for business subsidy payment using a paper payment application form. The forms are available on the Suomi.fi web service (www.suomi.fi). ELY centers start making decisions about rural projects in January. Support decision-making starts in ELY

Official decisions on project and business support decisions supported by Liiver will start to be made according to the schedule announced by Mavi: ELY centers will start decision-making on rural project support in January. Business support decisions will start in mid-December. The first business and project support decisions are made as paper decisions, because electronic decision-making in the Hyrrä system is not yet possible. The autumn meeting of Eteläpohjalaiset kylät ry was held on Saturday 28 November 2015 in Lappajärvi's Itäkylä, where the Eteläpohjalainen village of the year 2015 award was presented to Yliluoma from Ylihärmä in Kauhavan. Eija Mäntymäki from Jalsjärvi was re-elected as a board member from the Liiver region. Sirkka Pakkala from Jalasjärvi and Hannele Salmela-Hast from Seinäjoki will continue as alternate members. Petri Rinne was elected chairman of Suomen Kylätoiminta ry

At the annual meeting of Suomen Kylätoiminta ry on Wednesday, November 25, 2015, a new chairman was elected for the organization. Long-time chairman Eero Uusitalo will leave his duties at the end of this year, and Petri Rinne was elected as his successor for a two-year term. He has worked since 2001 as the operations manager of the Leader Joutsente route.
