Liiveri is part of the international EVOLAQ network, which exchanges experiences on good volunteering models. The project is funded by the Europe for Citizens programme. The target groups of volunteering are young people, the elderly, people with disabilities and immigrants, both as volunteers and as recipients of work. The partner countries are Italy, Austria, Croatia, Latvia, Sweden, Germany and Finland. Liiveri awarded Päivi Alaniska with a diploma

Päivi Alaniska is the recipient of Leader Liiver’s 2016 Nuoresta pitäen diploma. The passion for association and organizational life that ignited at a young age has marked her career path as a regional developer, teacher and event production expert. Alaniska currently works in services for starting entrepreneurs at Into Seinäjoki Oy. Liiver’s Diploma is awarded annually for good development work. Johanna Ikola as provincial village representative

The board of the Southern Pohjois Villages Association appointed Johanna Ikola from Lapua as the association's executive director and new provincial village representative. Juha Pohjonen, who has been the village representative for two decades, will retire at the beginning of April. He is already on part-time retirement, and Ikola will take up the reins as of the beginning of March. Johanna Ikola has served as a trusted person in the EPK since the association's inception. Money being distributed for joint activities among young people!

Liiveri grants support for youth projects that allow young people to influence their own living environment and organize meaningful activities. The Youth Leader application period is 15 February–29 March 2016. The amount of support awarded is 100–800 euros, which covers a maximum of 90 % of the project costs. Youth groups in the Ilmajoki, Jalasjärvi and Seinäjoki regions can apply for support. Press release Detailed information and application instructions

Harri Pihlajamäki started working on Liiver's Kotokortteli project at the beginning of January. His task is to inspire the residents of Seinäjoki to self-directed development in the downtown area. Harri Pihlajamäki, who confesses to be a big consumer of music, also enjoys books. At the Apila library, you can find him at his laptop or talking to the townspeople about the development of the downtown area. Business support kicks off Ylistaro

Kyrönmaa Fysioterapia expanded its service offering and opened a gym in Ylistaro, Seinäjoki. A similar service, where the customer has access to the gym every day from 8 am to 9 pm, has never existed in the Ylistaro area before. Recently, another company from Ylistaro, Vuorelan Rauta, also expanded its gunsmith's premises and was thus able to improve its customer service.
