Open villages day will be organized for the tenth time nationwide on Saturday, June 8, 2024! The event brings hundreds of villages into the limelight and local tourism destinations, because the day is full of the charm and life of the villages. The day offers a unique opportunity to get close to village life and the Finnish countryside. The village of the future 2.0 has started, come join us!
The opening ceremony of the future village project, open to all, was held on Valentine's Day at the Seinäjoki Business Center. The event had around 70 participants from more than thirty villages in southern Pohja. The project has three themes, which are worked on with experts in each field. In each theme, six villages or groups of villages are taken to develop and pilot new operating models. Participants are required to commit for the entire duration of the project.
