Ilvesjoki has been chosen as the South Pohja village of the year. The independent and up-to-date village has, among other things, built a fiber optic network with the help of the Leader project. Village expert position open
Leader Liiveri is looking for a village expert for the Kylille III project. The task of the village expert is to advance the following themes; competent and inclusive village, circular economy for villages, prosperous villages and everyday security for villages. Five art projects will start next year
A mural for the skating rink, artworks for the playground, memories as songs, art for the experience stairs, storytelling of local history... Every year, more than a hundred trucks that have been driven to the end start their last journey towards Ilvesjoki. There they are cleaned, disassembled and the sorted materials are sold on around the world. According to CEO Jari Kauppila, the 65-year-old family business practiced circular economy even before the whole word had been invented. They have a recycling percentage of dismantled cars of 95. During the autumn, Liiveri organizes digital cafes for adults in cooperation with Ilmajoki, Kurika and Seinäjoki civic colleges.
